Bitcoin Price Index is the overall representation of the average of Bitcoin Prices all over multiple Bitcoin exchanges including Bitfinex, Bitstamp and BTC-e.

The Bitcoin Price Index is available with updates every 60 seconds along with average of the leading XBT / USD Exchange Rates. At the closing of each day, the BPI presents figures based on the Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) or British Summer Time (BST).

The users are able to gather non – USD BPI prices based on the rates obtained via www.openexchangerates.org.
